Amethyst helps to energise Charity Cyclists

Taking the day’s post to the post box, Angela Peck, our Office Administrator, found two travel weary cyclists badly in need of a drink and a rest.
Nigel Pettet and Mark Bundy from ScrewFix Stafford/Wincanton, ably assisted by their support team of Dennis Wilson were cycling some 350 miles over 7 days to raise funds for Promise Dreams, a children’s charity.
They had started from Staffordshire, crossed through many counties and were travelling up from Swindon to Northampton when they came through Farthinghoe. They will be returning to Stafford later on this week.
Promise Dreams is a charity based in in Stafford, close to their base which raises money to help seriously and terminally ill children and their families realise their dreams across the UK.
After a cup of tea and some biscuits for all, the team were all suitably invigorated to make the final push of the day to Northampton.
Information about how to donate can be found at www.screwfix-stafford.com
